We are proud to present the Affect, Personality and the Embodied Brain “APE2020” online conference from 23rd to 25th September - jointly hosted through the APE Research Group at Nottingham Trent University (United Kingdom) and HNL group from Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Portugal), around our understanding of the interaction between the mind and body. This join effort emerged through our ongoing collaborations and representation at the international APE network. It showcases our strong partnership and commitment, and acts as ‘a consolidating agent’ for our joint ventures in the future. The APE network is an extended virtual meeting ground bringing scientific collaborators in the field together. If you want to join us, please get in touch through our website.

The APE2020 is open for emerging and well-established researchers and other professionals working on personality and affective neuroscience related areas and will take place in a virtual environment. We are delighted to create this initiative of bringing great minds across the globe together. We are strongly devoted to fostering a supportive environment for emerging and early career researchers in the field. As such we like to encourage post-graduate/PhD students and post-docs to engage with this platform to present their ideas and research, and make use of the networking opportunities.

The Executive Committee will collect some of the contributions at this APE2020 for a Conference Edition to be published in the Brain Sciences journal, and for a Special Issue to be published in the Psychology and Neuroscience journal published by APA.

We are excited and committed to ensure our attendees will have a rewarding and stimulating experience through this virtual interactive environment.

Please share the information and pass it to colleagues that may be interested in attending the conference.

On behalf of the APE & HNL teams, we very much hope you will join us for our first annual meeting, to make it a special one.
